Space Optical Clocks Co-Op:

A website for promoting cooperations on optical atomic clocks and on optical frequency metrology

“Space Optical Clocks” (http://www.soc2.eu) is a European development project aimed at establishing the technical basis for a future optical atomic clock that will be operated in space on the ISS or on satellites. The project has been funded since 2007 by ESA, EC, and national research and space agencies and institutions.

The developments performed and know-how generated by the teams involved in the project are in part available for further use in scientific cooperations or for licensing to commercial groups.

In the following, an overview of the available technology and know-how is presented.
