Electron irradiation of optical and electronic components can be performed at the Heinrich-Heine-Universität using laser-generated high-energy (MeV) electrons, in the group of Prof. Georg Pretzler. The electron energy spectrum is characterized by an approximated Boltzmann distribution (flux exponentially decreasing with energy), which resembles the spectrum encountered by components in satellites.
